For most of our residents, this will be the first time they have cohabited with a roommate. Not all residents share a bedroom, but many do. Most residents also share a bathroom with suite buddies, roommates, or hallway mates. While it may be different to live at home, remember that change comes with a period of adjustment. Our locals are happy to live in environments where they can meet other people and make new friends. Sharing one home with another can create challenges, but it also offers opportunities. All residents will complete a roommate agreement form shortly after arrival to facilitate the transition to residential life. For most, the transition period is only a week or two. Before you know it, the semester is over and you won`t want to leave! Abandoned propertySlept in the room/apartment or in the common premises of residences after the expiry of the deadline for the student residence contract or the termination of the student residence contract are considered abandoned property. Residents have 30 days to claim their property. After 30 days, the university reserves the right to dispose of all abandoned real estate.
Living in a dormitory is a unique opportunity to live together. In a municipality, residents obtain rights and obligations to comply with the policies and procedures of Housing & Residential Education and the USF Student Code of Conduct. All residents will be brought to justice for the USF Student Code of Conduct, federal and state law, and the Housing & Residential Education Student Housing Agreement. The university reserves the right to supplement and/or modify existing rules and regulations. Housing & Residential Education is committed to doing everything in its power to inform students in the home of changes in regulations or relevant policy information. Termination of the student residence contractThe general conditions of your student residence contract for information on cancellation fees and deadlines. There are certain dates on which you can cancel and the corresponding fees, depending on the date you terminate your student residence contract. Students wishing to terminate their student accommodation contract should refer to the accommodation portal (accessible via the link on the usf.edu/housing homepage) or to the headquarters of Housing & Residential Education, located on the second floor of Argos Hall. Room Condition Report (CPR) Before residents arrive, their room/suite/apartment is inspected and the condition is indicated on a room condition report form.
All residents have the opportunity to make additions or corrections in collaboration with the intern. This process must be completed and the form must be returned within 24 hours of occupancy. Upon request, residents receive a copy of the report form. This form for the condition of the room is used at the time of departure, during this time the employees of the room and furniture indicated on the form compare with the state at the checkout. Residents should carefully examine their room/living unit and register the copy of the room condition report form. It is in the student`s interest to describe the condition of his room/apartment and its contents and note the marks, holes, cracks, etc. If you do not submit a copy of the inventory form within the 24-hour period, it is considered that they fully agree with the assessment on the initial report form, which will then be used when each resident withdraws. . . .
